My daughter is a member of a high school Pep Squad and they are assisting in collecting toys and monetary donations for a local charity called   'Arden Cantwell's Stuff the Trunk Toy Drive' to benefit kids battling cancer.  They are in their 4th year and it was started because she had several friends  suffering from cancer and were going to be spending their birthdays, holidays, etc. in the hospital or attending the clinic weekly for treatments that almost always made them sick.  She set up a "treasure box" that they could get a gift from each time they came.  Last year not only did she get an entire roomful of gifts but she raised over $800.00 in donations.  With this money she purchased gift cards for the older kids.  She is urging everyone to help.  Even Dollar store gifts or kid's meal toys are greatly appreciated.  I think it is awesome that a young person saw a need and is doing everything in her power to fulfill it.  What a great Inspiration to others!!
