In June of this year one of my best friends Susan called me about a kitten she saw for adoption at PetsMart. We were at the store on Sunday morning when the animals arrived. As a person who already has 4 dogs and 5 cats I was just going along for the ride and support. I was SURPRISED at how many solid black kittens were in need of homes. While Susan was in the "play room" with her soon to be new addition I began to inquire about all the little black kittens & why there were so many available for adoption. I found out that some people are scared of black kittens....These kittens were all on death row until New Beginnings Cat Rescue saved them from various shelters around town. This group allowed me to speak to the foster Mom of 3 black kittens, I needed to see who could "fit" in our busy house. After our conversation I was on the fence about adding 1 more to the already large herd. But something inside me said "what's one more?" The little guy needed a loving home and I was going to give it to him!
I made Susan come back to go with me the following weekend to pick up my new little boy. What a wonderful kitty he has turned out to be & a great addition to the family! We all love him & we are happy we saved a kitten that needed a home. This October is dedicated to Spooky our Halloween Kitty!
