A young model named Kate Somers, normally used to high heels and glamour, left all that behind when she went to Africa for a month to build a school in Enelerai (a village in Kenya).  She also spear-headed a fund-raising campaign for Free The Children by bake sales, auctions, and "grilled cheese sales." Her total profit was $9,000. Which was plenty to build the entire school in Africa!
